Francophone African Textiles: Mali, Togo, Benin and more
On this page we introduce you to a few of the many textile traditions of the French-speaking countries of West Africa, specifically Burkina Faso, Senegal, Togo, Benin, Niger, and Mali. With few exceptions there has been no systematic collection of textiles in these countries, and old pieces are only sporadically available .
Adire African Textiles is a London based gallery dedicated to exploring the vintage textile traditions of sub-Saharan Africa.
We work with a network of partners throughout West Africa to source exceptional museum quality textiles for clients worldwide that include leading museums, private collectors, and interior designers. We now offer FREE SHIPPING worldwide (with FedEx for international orders.)
