Description
Classic design decorative cloth from the Senegalese “rabal” tradition. These cloths are still an important component of marriage ceremonies for many families in Senegal, Gambia, and Guinea Bissau. This one was likely woven by a weaver from the Tukolor people in the final quarter of the twentieth century. Lurex thread among the cotton wefts glitters throughout. In excellent complete condition.
Measurements 6′ x 4’1″, 183 cm x 123.
