Description
Blocks of red and yellow stripes in various widths and combinations are scattered across this Bondoukou region woman’s cloth, with the brightness of the colours muted by the indigo threads of the warps. This is an unusually elaborate and finely designed use of the technique and is in excellent complete condition. It dates from circa 1950.
