Exceptional Fante Asafo flag with a charming porcupine, a Brebia vine, and a padlock, all symbols of invincibility in Fante thought. Published in Adler & Barnard 1992, Figure 166. Dates from around the 1920s -30s and has some faint marks , otherwise in good strong condition.
From a UK private collection assembled in the 1970s and 80s. Authentic old flags in acceptable condition are now near impossible to source in Ghana and prices have risen accordingly
