Weft Colour Blocks Ewe

E1178 – blocks of the same colour along the strips distinguish this Fine Ewe kente woman’s cloth

1 in stock

Fine Ewe kente woman’s cloth dating from around the 1950s with a typical striped background, but given a slightly different look by the unusual use of colour in the weft blocks. Usually the weaver will vary the colours of the pairs of weft blocks along each strip but here he has made repeated use of green, of orange, and of yellow along the whole strip. In excellent complete condition.

Measurements 82 inches X 52. 210 cm X 133.
