Description
Beautiful and unusual mid century Yoruba asooke woman’s wrapper cloth. Paired magenta blocks framing small float motifs in sand and very pale green, with the spaces between filled by a subtle use of openwork and floating threads over the cloth surface. Dates from circa 1960 and is in excellent condition. Measurements 76 inches x 48, 193 cm x 122.
