FR836 – Strip weave handspun indigo dyed cotton man’s wrapper cloth

A good length of lovely soft faded indigo stripes in this hand spun cotton men’s cloth from the Abron or Koulango peoples of northern Ivory Coast. Every 10 inches (25 cm) a red or white stripe across the cloth strip is muted by the blue warps. Some neat patched repairs. Dates from circa 1920-1950.
Measurements 316 cm x 166, 124 inches x 65.
