Description
Classic style hand woven women’s shawl from Djerba Island, Tunisia, with an elaborate patterned section at one end of the brown and white check cotton length, while the other end, hidden during wear, has a much reduced pattern. There is a small loss at the edge of the cloth – see detail, otherwise it is in very good neat condition. Dates from mid C20th.
