Description
This is from northern Ivory Coast, collected in the 1960s and in a Swiss private collection since then. A very nice crocodile and two tortoises and birds. Neat hand sewing between the strips. It’s different from the Burkina “Bobo” cloths with animals we see fairly often. Most likely the work of a Dioula weaver.
Size is 178 cm x 114. 5’10 x 3’9″.
