Description
Simplicity and calmness from this plain white and natural pale beige handspun cotton cloth from the Bamana or Fulani people of Mali. Three rows of black motifs in a pattern that dates back hundreds of years in the region, break up the plain ground traced with lines by the natural irregularities in the colour of the cotton. Bought new in the 1970s and stored carefully since, this thick but soft cloth is in excellent condition. It would make a great bedcover.
Measurements 98 inches X 58, 249 cm X 148.
