Rows of red and green airplanes face each other across this quite unusual Fulani wedding hanging cloth from Mali, separated by bands of elaborate weft float patterning. The original vivid colours are slightly muted by the African sun. In excellent complete condition and dates from circa 1970s.
Measurements 7’5″ x 4’6″, 225 cm x 137.
