ASF285 – Fine pre-Independence Asafo flag with the unusual theme of a confrontation between two neatly hand embroidered rams. The animal at the right, presumably representing a rival company has lost one horn and bleeds from a head injury. Flagmakers loved the patterned fabric in the background but typically used it sparingly for leopards and lions. In excellent condition. Dates from circa 1930-1950.
Measurements 59 inches X 35, 150 cm X 89.
