Description
A special blue and white kente, this soft cotton Asante men’s cloth has a regular alternation of five different blue and white strip patterns. White weft float motifs on two of the strips punctuate the warp stripes adding a second layer of patterning. This is a superb example of a favourite Asante kente style and is in excellent complete condition. It dates from circa 1930-50 and measures 10’3 x 6’10 312 cm x 210.
