Description
An indigo dyed woman’s pagne (waist wrap cloth) from the Soninke people of Senegal and Mali, collected about 30 years ago. Bought in a market in Kayes but made in Nioro du Sahel. Strip woven with hand stitched seams and a stitch-resist design. In excellent condition.
Measurements 5’8″ x 3’9″, 172 cm x 115.
