Attractive mid-century Yoruba aso oke woman’s wrapper cloth from Nigeria with three different warp striped strip weave patterns combined. Hand spun indigo dyed cotton in the two blue strips, subtle ikat effect at the centre. Muted weft stripes add visual impact on the wine red strips. Condition- one tiny patch at lower left edge in main photo, otherwise excellent. Dates from circa 1930-1950s.
