Description
Beautiful mixed strip wrapper cloth/pagne from the Dioula people of northern Ivory Coast. Alternate strips have characteristically intricate weft float motifs contained within rectangular blocks on the hand spun cotton ground. Dates from circa 1920-1950 and is in excellent complete condition.
Measurements 5′ x 3’3″, 153 cm x 99.
