I find this one of the most pleasing of the many patterns on these mid century Yoruba beige cotton “sanyan “cloths. Sets of three off-white weft float stripes are set across the strips between small blocks of openwork. The thick hand spun cotton used for the weft gives the cloth a slubby texture. In excellent condition. These strong cloths make striking wall hangings or furnishing fabrics for pillows or small upholstery projects.
