Description
Light brown weft float patterning runs the full length of a maroon ground weave on alternate strips of this unusual Yoruba asooke woman’s wrapper cloth. Rows of woven openwork are set on a white ground with central maroon stripes. Dates from circa 1960s and is in excellent complete condition.
Measurements 6’8″ x 4’9″, 202 cm x 144.
