Description
Pairs of lens shaped weft motifs are set on a solid mid green ground on this rare style of Ewe kente woman’s cloth. This design was sometimes called “tears” by the Ewe. Some minor losses on a few of the coloured flashes, otherwise in excellent condition. Dates from around the 1930s-50s.
Measurements 6’3″ x 4’2″, 191 cm x 126.
