Description
E933 – Although blue and white cotton kente was quite commonly woven by both Asante and Ewe weavers, this is an exceptionally well woven and fine example with more complex motifs than is typical for the style. The use of figurative motifs such as birds, fish, scissors, and hands indicates that the weaver was an Ewe man rather than an Asante. Dates from circa 1930-50 and is in excellent condition.
Measurements: 71 ins x 41, 180 cms x 105.
