Description
Flowers, leaves, hands, swords, and combs are scattered over the face of this lemon yellow artificial silk Ewe kente woman’s cloth. Ewe weavers used to call this distinctive style “Congo” cloth because it was particularly sought after by traders from Central Africa who attended the weekly cloth market in Keta. Dates from circa 19760-70 and has a few faint water stains consistent with use.
Measurements 5’11” x 4’1″, 181 cm x 125.
