Bold pairs of weft colour blocks, many woven from thread that blends two colours, are set out on a background of quite complex stripes. Each pair frames a simple geometric weft float motif on this fine and beautiful Ewe kente woman’s cloth.
In excellent complete condition. Dates from around the 1930s-50s.
Measurements 6’4″ x 4’1″, 193 cm x 124.
