Description
Another striking Malian checkerboard cloth. This one is from circa 1970s, quite thick handspun cotton but with black rather than dark indigo blue squares. A scattering of red and orange stripes and other small variations in the pattern break up the symmetry here. In excellent complete condition.
Measurements: 6’10” x 5’5″, 208 cm x 166.
