Fine early twentieth century Yoruba agbada chief’s robe tailored from aso oke strip weave cloth woven from fine hand spun natural beige wild silk sanyan with a white cotton warp stripe. Very fine hand embroidered decoration in the classic “two knives” design. Dates from circa 1920. In excellent condition.
