Description
Fine blue and white Asante kente chief’s cloth with an interesting textured tactile effect in the blocks of blue throughout. The weaver left each pick of the blue wefts slightly looser than normal, allowing the threads to to kind of bobble up and form a slightly irregular surface feel. Dates from circa 1930s-50 and is in excellent complete condition.
Measurements 11′ x 6’1″, 335 cm x 185.
