The plain sections at each end of the cloth are normally hemmed but here are opened out, providing a pleasing dark indigo frame to the design and allowing us to see the small leaf motif that the artist has used to identify here cloth at the communal dye works. Unusually she has also written “ori re ni temi”, “I have a good destiny.” In excellent condition. dates from around 1960s.
