Description
Subtle beauty from this rare early C20th Asante kente men’s cloth. Wide stripes of dark blue and a pale blue/grey separated by rows of pinstripes and crossed at wide intervals by a faint hint of a weft stripe. There was a wide variety of simple striped blue and white Asante cloths at this period but very few of them seem to have survived. In excellent condition.
Measurements 1118 inches x 82, 300cm x 208.
