AD324- Collected in Zaria in north Nigeria in 1970, this cloth is a typical example of a simplified, rather crude, versions of the classic “Olokun”, sea goddess, design, that could be produced more quickly and by less skilled women for sale away from the Yoruba heartland in the south. Nonetheless it has a bold charm and appeal. In excellent condition.
