FR656 – Another simple but hard to find cloth, this man’s wrapper is woven from thick local hand spun thread with narrow indigo warp stripes on a plain white ground. Collected in Ivory Coast, it is probably the work of a Dioula, Koulango or Abron weaver in the region of Bondoukou. Dates from around the 1950s. Condition is excellent.
