Description
Quite unusual Yoruba asooke wrapper cloth, dating from around the 1930s. Sets of white stripes alternate with geometric weft float blocks along each strip, on a blue and white pinstripe ground. The cloth has a soft well used feel and is in very good complete condition, minor wear on some of the float motifs.
