Description
Really lovely old Ewe kente chief’s cloth with soft pinks, yellows, and orange on a muted green background. Fish, hands, and a few other figurative motifs are set among a design layout carefully planned to increase in density at the centre of the cloth. Slight wear apparent on some of the coloured motifs, otherwise excellent condition. Dates from circa 1920s.
Measurements 9’6″ x 6’3, 290 cm x 190.
