Really unusual colour combination on this circa 1970 Yoruba asooke woman’s wrapper cloth from Nigeria – pink strips with rows of openwork alternate with a quite complex variety of dark green extra weft float motifs on a pinstriped ground. In excellent condition.
Measurements 6’5″ x 4’6″, 195 cm x 136.
