K319 – This is a curiosity. A standard Asante blue and white kente design woman’s cloth but instead of using regular dark blue and white cotton the weaver has used a thick mercerised cotton white thread and pale blue silk. The result is a unique and subtly beautiful piece. Dates from circa 1930-60. Condition is excellent.
Measurement: 70 inches x 43, 177 cm x 110 cm.
