Hand drawn starch paste resist indigo dyed “adire eleko” cloth from the Yoruba people of Nigeria, circa 1970. The bold design is a version of a classic adire pattern called “Olokun”, after a Yoruba goddess associated with wealth and good fortune. In excellent condition.
Measures 78 inches x 66, 198 cm x 169.
