Description

Vivid pink background and a complex scene on this charming 1970s Fante Asafo flag from Ghana. At the right a seated chief points towards what I think is an oil palm, at the left a man pours liquid (palm oil perhaps) into a barrel, while two men at the centre are either fighting or tickling each other with a leaf! By the master flag maker Kobina Badowah or his workshop in the village of Kormantse. There is an old sewn repair across the white pointed hat of the chief, price is reduced to reflect this issue.

Measurements 62 inches X 33, 158 cm X 84
