Huge 1970s cotton Asante kente cloth with pale orange weft float motifs set within a grid of squares on a black cotton ground. This type of Asante cloth, with wider strips and unusual designs, were woven in the village of Ntonso, now a suburb of the Asante capital, Kumase and more associated with the making of adinkra. In excellent condition.
