K282 – Another dramatic well woven rayon men’s kente cloth dating from around 1970, this large cloth was most likely woven for a senior chief to display on an important occasion such as an annual festival. This piece combines four different warp stripe patterns, each with a regular repeat of a different neatly woven weft float pattern block. This mixed strip cloth type was known as Mmaban. In excellent condition.
Measurement: 131 inches x 91 ins, 333cm x 230cm.
