Another very special Ewe chief’s cloth. The master weaver has carefully planned the regular grid layout of the paired blocks of coloured stripes across the regular alternation of four different strip patterns. Within this overall layout the juxtaposition of multiple stripes across and along the cloth creates unexpected resonances. Dates from circa 1930-1950 and is in excellent complete condition. Measurements 9’8″ x 5’11”, 295 cm x 181.
