Beautiful mid twentieth century Yoruba aso oke woman’s wrapper cloth, iborun, with a distinctive and unusual combination of three different patterned strips. Typically cloths at this period would alternate the heavily weft float patterned strips with a much plainer warp striped strip, but here all three are heavily decorated with weft float motifs and arranged to divide the field of cloth into three blocks. In excellent condition.
