Three different strips of indigo dyed handspun cotton are combined in this beautiful early twentieth century strip woven Yoruba aso oke woman’s wrapper cloth, iborun. At this period hand spun indigo dyed cotton was the basis of aso oke weaving, as it had been for centuries. In excellent complete condition, dates from around 1910-1940.
