Description
Lilac, black, and grey squares alternate in a checkerboard pattern across the field of this quite unusual 1950s Yoruba asooke woman’s wrap cloth. Yoruba cloth dealers called this pattern “sugar cubes.”There is a small mark in one corner but otherwise in excellent complete condition and a great interiors piece. Retains its original neat hand stitched hems and seams throughout.
Measurements 6’10” x 4’4″, 207 cm x 135.
