FR650 – Kente style women’s cloth from the Abron or Dioula people, Bondoukou region, north east Ivory Coast, mid C20th. Great example of how some cloths in this area resemble rustic versions of Ewe kente, with quite simple float motifs on a hand spun indigo dyed cotton ground. These are becoming very scarce now. Condition is worn but good overall.
Measurement: 75 ins x 46, 190 cm x 116.
