There’s a kind of jazzy off-beat sensibility to this fine mid-century strip weave woman’s wrapper cloth from the Abron or Koulango people of the Bondoukou region, north east Ivory Coast. Solid blocks of colour in the weft are set across a blue and white warp and weft striped background. In excellent complete condition, dates from around 1950s.
Measures 72 inches x 52, 184 cm x 132.
