Description
Beautiful 1950s Yoruba aso oke cloth from Nigeria, with broad stripes of beige and dark grey flanking a stripe of dark blue/white ikat framed by narrow pale blue stripes. Notice how the ikat stripe is set slightly off centre. Small groups of weft stripes cross the strips at random. In excellent condition, would make a great furnishing fabric.
Measurements 81 inches x 44, 207 cm x 112.
