Interesting single motif adinkra men’s cloth, this time with the “two story house” motif called Aban on a white cotton ground. “Aban or Eban – a two story house or castle. Aban was the stone house built in Kumasi during the rule of Asantehene Osei Kwame (1802-23. ) Hand stitching in multicoloured silk joins the cloth panels. Dates from around the 1940s – 50s. Condition: excellent.
