Unusual striped hand spun cotton indigo dyed Ewe woman’s cloth with elaborate white extra weft float borders and short fringed ends. We had a man’s cloth in similar style a few years ago that was attributed to a weaver of the Adangbe people who live alongside the Ewe in the Volta region of Ghana. In excellent condition, dates from mid C20th.
Measurements 79 inches x 40, 201 cm x 102.
