Fine green ground Ewe chief’s kente cloth with a classic layout that alternates square weft faced blocks with a colourful and neatly woven array of extra weft float motifs, including swords, fish, etcetera. Multiple narrow weft stripes in various colours form the basis of the weft patterning elaborated throughout into a range of motifs. Cloths of this quality are rare to source today. In excellent complete condition. Dates from circa 1930-1950.
