Description
Yellow and a lovely cranberry red stripes on this fine old Ewe kente woman’s cloth , the colours softly muted by time and wear. Small motifs within the pairs of weft faced blocks include a human figure and several different birds. Dates from circa 1920s. In complete condition but with tiny worn spots so dry clean only.
Measurements 75 1/2 inches x 52, 192 cm x 133.
