Description
We love the faded pistachio green of this beautiful cloth. A classic Ewe kente design that was usually woven with blue blocks on a white ground, but in this rare variation is a soft muted green. Quite varied red and yellow weft float motifs are framed by the pairs of indigo blue blocks throughout. Slight blurring of colour from the red, otherwise in very good complete condition. Dates from circa 1930-1950.
Measurements 9’6″ x 6’1″, 290 cm x 185.
