E733 – The weaver of this attractive Ewe kente woman’s cloth used the classic design called “guinea fowl” after the blue and white check background but has made it distinctive by creating larger than customary extra weft float motifs with novel and amusing features such as the chicken with her eggs and her little white feet. Dates from around 1950. Condition is excellent.
